Associate Producer

A global media organization is seeking a bilingual Associate Producer to support correspondents and production teams in its Washington, D.C. bureau.

This role works closely with a correspondent on news gathering, research, interview coordination, and TV program production. Candidates with journalism, media, broadcasting experience, or strong interest in reporting are welcome to apply.

Position: Associate Producer

Location: Washington, D.C. area

Employment Type: Full-time

Start Date: Around July 2026 (flexible)

Salary: Approx. $44,000/year (DOE) + OT

Responsibilities:

• Research and gather information for news stories

• Coordinate interviews, filming, and production logistics

• Support story development and content preparation

• Assist correspondents with field coverage and reporting

• Verify information and support fact-checking

Qualifications:

• Strong English communication skills required

• Japanese language skills preferred

• Interest or experience in journalism, media, or communications

• Strong research and coordination skills

• Ability to travel and drive for assignments as needed

Additional Information:

• Small international news bureau environment

• Occasional overtime, travel, and breaking news coverage required

• Visa sponsorship generally unavailable, but may be considered depending on candidate background
