Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and safety management software
- Ability to travel as needed, including occasional weekend support
- Ability to perform physical site inspections
- Ability to lift or move up to 100+ pounds using equipment such as dollies
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction, consulting, or other high-risk environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or other advanced EHS certifications
- Experience with ISO 45001 or similar safety management systems
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and customer-specific safety requirements
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
- Design and deliver employee safety training programs
- Track safety metrics, training completion, and incident trends
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents
- Prepare reports for management, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies
- Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation
- Collaborate with leadership, employees, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety culture
- Promote employee engagement and proactive safety awareness
- May be assigned other duties and projects by management as needed
