Salary: Up to $95,000/year (depending on experience)

A Japanese global automotive parts manufacturer is seeking an IT Senior Software Engineer for its Northwest Columbus, Ohio location. This is a full-time, on-site position offering competitive compensation, bonus potential, and a strong benefits package.

We are looking for someone with strong C# and .NET development experience who can lead projects, support business operations through automation, and work closely with internal users and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the full software development lifecycle for assigned projects

• Improve operational efficiencies through automation

• Support four U.S. facilities (Ohio and Georgia)

• Attend meetings as a representative of the software development team

• Analyze business needs and create custom software solutions

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

• Evaluate and respond to user feedback

• Create presentations and explain technical concepts to various teams

• Manage projects and ensure timely delivery within specifications

• Occasional travel and after-hours support may be required


Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

(4+ years of related experience may be considered in place of degree)

• Strong C# and object-oriented programming skills

• Extensive .NET Framework experience

• Experience with relational databases (SSMS and Oracle)

• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

• Experience with Microsoft tools/environments (SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio)

• ASP.NET web application development experience

• WPF and WinForms application development experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git

• Experience with test-driven development

• Experience leading projects throughout the software development lifecycle

• Project management knowledge

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience

• Experience mentoring junior developers

• PLC controls / integration / data capture experience

• Database performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
