Project Support (Design Team) – Bilingual (Japanese/English)
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (Onsite)
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (ASAP – April 2027; extension possible based on performance)

Company Overview
A global engineering-related organization supporting large-scale industrial construction projects. The role supports onsite operations for a major semiconductor manufacturing project.
Position Summary
This role provides administrative and coordination support to a design team on a large industrial project. It is not a technical engineering position. The focus is on communication, documentation, and coordination between U.S. and Japan-based teams. The position requires full-time onsite presence and strong bilingual communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design team operations and day-to-day coordination
- Organize and manage drawings, documents, and project data
- Coordinate meetings, including Japanese–English interpretation and note-taking
- Track project tasks and support progress reporting
- Facilitate communication between U.S. and Japan-based stakeholders
- Prepare internal presentations and support materials
- Coordinate with external vendors and respond to inquiries
Qualifications
Required:
- Japanese and English bilingual (expert level)
- Strong demonstrated communication ability
- Strong coordination, reporting, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
- Ability to work fully onsite
Preferred:
- Experience working in or with Japanese companies
- 3+ years of professional work experience
- Experience in administrative, coordination, or project support roles
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar tools (not required)
