Title: Research Assistant (Temp)

Wage: $24.50/hour

Work Hours: 9:00-17:00 (Lunch12:00-13:00)

Work Style: Office 3 days at office, 2 days work from home

Responsibilities:

Conduct research on political and economic trends in Latin America and financial market trends in the U.S., selecting topics based on stakeholder interests.

Collect information through open sources, seminars, and other channels, and prepare periodic analytical reports for dissemination.

Coordinate with external vendors/contractors to gather and distribute news and external research related to political and economic developments in the Americas.

Support the promotion and PR activities of trade insurance by assisting in data collection and report preparation.

Provide general administrative support as needed, including internal schedule coordination, phone and visitor handling, appointment setting, and basic accounting procedures.


Requirements:

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in both English and Japanese (including translation, email, and phone communication).

Ability to compile and summarize collected information and produce clear and concise documents in Japanese.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot).

Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward proposing ideas, planning, and improving processes while collaborating with supervisors and colleagues.

Willingness to learn and absorb knowledge across a wide range of fields, even without prior specialized expertise.

Ability to understand team dynamics and proactively support others with flexibility and initiative.
