Sales & Logistics Coordinator

A Japanese company is seeking a Sales & Logistics Coordinator to join its U.S. team.

This position will support the sales team by coordinating communication between the parent company in Japan, production facilities, and customers. The coordinator will manage order and shipment information, support supply chain operations, and assist with logistics and inventory programs to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update order, shipment, and inventory data in the Oracle database; generate invoices and track payment status.
  • Coordinate closely with customers and the Tokyo office regarding orders, shipments, and product design/color development.
  • Support purchasing activities, including generating purchase orders and managing accounts payable.
  • Prepare sales, inventory, and forecasting reports for management and monthly meetings.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs and warehouse distribution.
  • Oversee import shipments and logistics coordination between Japan and North/South America.
  • Coordinate production schedules and delivery timelines to meet customer demand.
  • Handle supply chain planning, forecasting, and material availability to support operations.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and logistics arrangements with customers, suppliers, and transportation partners.
  • Manage projects from initiation through completion and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support sales activities by updating product specifications, market information, and sales forecasts.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of similar experience in sales and logistic coordination.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, analytical and detailed-oriented.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks. Basic knowledge of PC and applications.
