About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ERP Manager to lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects while also supporting presales activities and solution consulting.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, business operations, and client engagement. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales teams, offshore engineering teams, and clients to design and implement ERP solutions that drive operational efficiency and financial performance.
This position offers the opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping ERP solutions while leading implementation initiatives from discovery to go-live.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects from discovery and design through go-live and post-implementation support
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Manage project scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Coordinate with offshore engineering teams to ensure development quality and efficient task execution
Presales & Solution Consulting
- Participate in client discovery meetings and requirements workshops
- Design ERP solutions aligned with business and financial objectives
- Support proposal development, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentations
- Prepare solution architecture, implementation approaches, and project estimates
- Partner with the sales team to support ERP-related business opportunities
Business Process & Functional Leadership
- Translate business requirements into ERP functional configurations
- Advise clients on best practices in Finance, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements
- Align ERP solutions with financial reporting and management requirements
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise ERP consultants and coordinate with external vendors
- Work with global headquarters teams on cross-border ERP initiatives
- Collaborate closely with offshore development teams
- Mentor junior consultants and help build internal ERP expertise
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and department leaders
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation readiness
- Provide client training and system adoption support
- Travel to client sites when needed for testing, training, and implementation support
- Establish ERP governance, documentation, and best practices
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements and improvements
- Promote adoption of Microsoft ecosystem tools (Power Platform, reporting tools, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of ERP implementation experience
- 2+ years of project leadership or project management experience
- Experience supporting presales or solution consulting activities
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
- Solid understanding of Finance, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory processes
- Experience creating project estimates, implementation plans, and delivery timelines
- Experience working with offshore or distributed engineering teams
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Business-level Japanese proficiency (日常会話レベル以上)
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be available for hybrid work in Torrance, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IT services or ERP consulting firms
- Experience supporting Japanese subsidiaries in the U.S.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries
