Project Engagement Lead Consultant (Bilingual Japanese/English)

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid – partial onsite required)

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 per year

Overview

A consulting and technology solutions company is seeking a Project Engagement Lead Consultant to support client projects and ensure successful delivery of IT and business solutions. This role acts as the primary liaison between clients and internal technical teams, helping to coordinate project activities, manage client expectations, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who can effectively communicate with both business stakeholders and technical teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Project Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct initial assessments to understand client business needs and project objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable plans for internal project teams.
  • Provide guidance and consulting support related to business processes and IT solutions.

Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities including scope, schedule, resources, and risks.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and escalate issues when necessary.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal technical teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Support the development of project documentation, reports, and deliverables.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of consulting services and processes.

Client Support

  • Provide post-implementation support and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Help ensure that implemented solutions align with client business goals.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, consulting, or a client-facing role supporting technical or IT projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Business-level Japanese and English language proficiency

Preferred

  • Experience working in IT consulting, system implementation, or ERP-related projects
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Understanding of business processes such as accounting, operations, or manufacturing
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
