Job Description:

This role supports the Supply Chain Manager and related teams through a variety of administrative and operational tasks related to purchasing, logistics coordination, forecasting, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with supply chain systems and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required

  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work onsite at the Houston office

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with ERP systems (NAV preferred)
  • Japanese language ability

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Administration

  • Process supply chain documentation and data related to purchasing, shipments, and transportation
  • Operate and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including troubleshooting when needed
  • Train and support internal staff on administrative systems and processes
  • Assist with supply chain projects and tasks assigned by the Supply Chain Manager

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Communicate with the Sales team to gather and summarize 3-month customer forecasts
  • Track customer job schedules and validate demand against forecast data
  • Monitor shipment trends versus demand volumes and input gap analysis into demand/production planning

Inventory & Purchasing Support

  • Track daily inventory levels and monitor replenishment timing based on sales orders
  • Support purchase planning using WMS and inventory management processes
  • Review required purchase quantities and timing based on forecasted demand
  • Create purchase orders and coordinate submission to headquarters in Tokyo

Logistics & Warehouse Coordination

  • Manage documentation related to inventory and supply chain operations
  • Coordinate local transportation for product transfers
  • Receive and arrange shipments at warehouses and courier offices
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through WMS and monitor inbound/outbound stock activity
  • Work with distribution center teams to improve inventory control and warehouse efficiency
  • Support initiatives to optimize warehousing operations, including logistics costs and inventory management
