Position Overview
This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys working closely with production teams and keeping operations running smoothly. The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing activities across injection molding, connector assembly, and stamping processes, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. You’ll work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams while guiding operators and technicians to maintain efficient and stable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations across injection molding and assembly production lines.
- Assign work tasks and manage team schedules to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor production performance and address operational issues quickly to maintain efficiency.
- Collaborate with production control, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards such as IATF16949 and ISO9001.
- Track production KPIs and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including PDCA, Kaizen, and shop-floor problem solving.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production operators and technicians.
- Promote workplace safety and maintain 5S standards across the production floor.
- Communicate production status, challenges, and improvement initiatives with management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in automotive or manufacturing production environments.
- Prior experience supervising production teams.
- Knowledge of injection molding, assembly processes, or related manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as IATF16949 and ISO9001.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (charts and pivot tables).
- Ability to work flexible shifts as required by production schedules.
Work Environment
- Frequent movement throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Exposure to machinery, equipment noise, and manufacturing chemicals.
- Required use of appropriate PPE in designated areas.
