Operation Staff (Moving, Air/Ocean Import) – Japanese Bilingual
A Japanese Logistics company seeks an Japanese bilingual Operation Staff in Jericho, NY.
This position requires you to commute to the office 5 days a week.
*This is an office job. Not required to perform any actual moving duties.
Responsibilities:
1- Coordinate moving service and import shipments in cooperation with sales.
For Moving:
2- Respond to customer inquiries in Japanese (telephone, e-mail)
3- Schedule a preliminary inspection and work date with vendor and customer.
4- Submit the quotation to the customer
5- Send the shipping information to the overseas office
6- Create invoices
For Import:
2- Receive shipping information from overseas or customers.
3- Request customs clearance from the customs broker.
4- If customs clearance is performed by another company, forward the documents to the designated
customs broker.
5- Check the status of cargo through the website of the shipping company, airline or terminal.
6- Contact trucking companies and make delivery arrangements.
7- Create invoices
・Ensure that when you take a paid leave of absence, etc., you hand over the responsibility to other staff
members.
・Provide assistance to other staff members when they need help with their duties.
Skills
1-Understand basic PC operation.
2-Pays attention to small details
3-Excellent organizational/ communication skills.
4-Have no difficulty communicating with others.
5-Can speak and write in Japanese and English.
