Financial Analyst – Japanese Bilingual

Company: Residential homebuilding and development company that is part of a major Japanese housing and building materials group.

Position: Financial Analyst / Accounting & Administrative Assistant (Depending on Experience) (DOE)

Job Location: Dallas, TX or Rockville, MD *Remote work available

Working Schedule: Full-time (part-time could be negotiable)

Salary range: $60K + bonus (negotiable depending on skills and experience)

 

Job Description

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and consolidated financial reporting packages for U.S. subsidiary company to be submitted to the headquarters in Japan.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide commentary on key trends, variances, and operational drivers.
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple U.S. entities and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Gather qualitative insights and operational updates from branch managers across 19 U.S. locations and incorporate them into reports for headquarters.
  • Support management in performance monitoring and business analysis through financial data interpretation and reporting.

Accounting Operations

  • Maintain bookkeeping records for subsidiary companies and ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Process invoices related to office operations (e.g., lease payments) and manage approval workflows.
  • Issue and track invoices and oversee the collection process.
  • Maintain and manage billing-related records and documentation.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate closely with Japanese expatriate management and local leadership to gather financial and operational information.
  • Facilitate communication between U.S. operations and the headquarters in Japan regarding financial performance and reporting requirements.

General Affairs

  • Support general administrative and office management tasks as needed.
