Location: Georgetown, KY
Salary: $60,000–$70,000 (DOE)
Workstyle: On-site with ~40% travel (domestic & international)

Position Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on Field/Machine Technician to support paint system installations, modifications, and maintenance projects across North America and abroad. This role blends technical fieldwork with project coordination, vendor management, and customer communication. If you enjoy being on-site, solving technical challenges, and working across teams to bring equipment installations to life, this is a dynamic opportunity with strong growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Customer Coordination
- Coordinate meetings and on-site inspections for paint booths, ovens, conveyor systems, pre-treatment systems, and E-Coat systems
- Confirm customer requirements and relay specifications to technical teams
- Prepare proposals and specification reports (primarily in English)
Cost Estimation & Quoting
- Request and review quotes for design and parts
- Source local vendors and subcontractors for installation and construction work
- Prepare and submit customer quotations
Shipping & Installation Oversight
- Confirm final equipment specifications with customers
- Coordinate shipping logistics and cost control
- Develop installation instructions and construction schedules
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure proper on-site execution
- Coordinate between supervisors and local contractors
Project Management
- Oversee equipment installation at customer facilities
- Lead project status meetings and communicate updates
- Prepare work completion and final reports
Technical Qualifications
- Understanding of psychrometric charts (temperature/humidity), pressure loss in ducts and piping, and heat sources
- Basic sheet metal knowledge
- Familiarity with material selection, bending, cutting, and welding processes
- Equipment selection experience (pumps, fans, valves, filters, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Japanese language skills a plus
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel 40%+ (U.S., Canada, Mexico, and occasionally Japan)
- Flexible schedule (may include nights and weekends)
- Open to training in proprietary, in-house technology
