Title: Benefit Account Manager

Location: Cypress, CA (Hybrid) | Remote available outside Southern CA

Position Summary:

The Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing corporate health insurance programs for Japanese-affiliated companies. This role focuses on client relationship management, renewal coordination, and ongoing benefits administration support. The position is consultative and service-oriented, working closely with internal support teams to deliver high-quality solutions to assigned accounts.

This is a growth-driven hire due to business expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate health insurance accounts (B2B)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client companies regarding employee benefits
  • Oversee renewals, plan changes, open enrollment, and carrier communications
  • Coordinate with internal operations/support teams to execute deliverables
  • Provide guidance on benefit structures and market trends
  • Support Japanese-affiliated clients with culturally aligned service
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors
  • Contribute to establishing and refining internal service standards


Qualifications:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in employee benefits or health insurance
  • Experience with Japanese insurance brokers or benefits consulting firms strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of group health insurance plans and benefits administration
  • Business-level English required
  • Japanese language proficiency preferred
  • Ability to independently manage client accounts and workload capacity
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and aligned with company culture
  • Comfortable building structure and standards in a growing environment
