Business Development Manager – Construction Attachments (New Equipment)
Location: North East Bay (Hybrid)
Compensation: $90,000~$100,000/year + Commissions (OTE $150,000~$200,000+)

Our client company, a subsidiary of a major global corporation, specializes in buying and selling construction equipment across domestic and international markets. In addition to its established used equipment business, the company is launching a new division focused on distributing high-quality construction attachments and related products manufactured by leading Japanese companies.
This is a key growth initiative aimed at expanding market share within the U.S. rental industry.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager – Construction Attachments will play a critical role in launching and growing a new product line in the United States. This position will focus on developing strategic relationships with major rental companies and expanding distribution channels throughout the West Region.
This is a high-impact, revenue-driven role for a motivated industry professional who thrives in a performance-based environment and is eager to build a business from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts for construction attachments (e.g., breakers, grinders, compactors, and related products)
- Develop and manage relationships with major rental companies (e.g., United Rentals, Sunbelt, HERC, Sunstate) and regional rental providers
- Identify new sales opportunities and expand market penetration across the West Region
- Conduct product presentations, pricing negotiations, and contract discussions
- Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to align pricing, supply chain, and go-to-market strategies
- Achieve and exceed revenue and gross profit targets
- Work in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of three days per week in the North East Bay office
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction equipment, attachments, or rental industry sales
- Experience working with major rental companies or dealer networks strongly preferred
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and gross profit targets
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a new business line
