Accounting Specialist (Full-Time)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both independent work and cross-functional collaboration.


Position: Accountanting Specialist

Location: Laguna Hills, CA

Work Hours: M- F 8:30-4:30 or 9-5 (1 hour lunch – actual work 35 hours/week)

Work Style: Hybrid 1-2 days/week at the office

Company: The company specializes in designing and manufacturing high-precision mixing and dispersion equipment, such as planetary centrifugal mixers. 

Salary Range: $65,000- $70,000/year

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (A/R)
  • Post daily deposits in accounting software
  • Perform bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile credit card statements and merchant accounts
  • Process invoices, apply payments, and support the sales team
  • Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections as needed
  • Record and track advance payments
  • Research and resolve customer A/R discrepancies
  • Prepare customer audit statements
  • Maintain accurate data entry and verify financial transactions
  • Review sales tax and exemption documentation
  • Communicate with banks, CPAs, and external partners as necessary
  • Coordinate with warehouse regarding financial or inventory issues
  • Review and process commission bills and 1099 reporting
  • Support Accounts Payable functions as needed
  • Process purchase orders and enter bills in the accounting system
  • Update inventory reports based on warehouse receipts

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of accounting experience required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professional communication skills
