Accounting Specialist (Full-Time)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both independent work and cross-functional collaboration.
Position: Accountanting Specialist
Location: Laguna Hills, CA
Work Hours: M- F 8:30-4:30 or 9-5 (1 hour lunch – actual work 35 hours/week)
Work Style: Hybrid 1-2 days/week at the office
Company: The company specializes in designing and manufacturing high-precision mixing and dispersion equipment, such as planetary centrifugal mixers.
Salary Range: $65,000- $70,000/year

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- Post daily deposits in accounting software
- Perform bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card statements and merchant accounts
- Process invoices, apply payments, and support the sales team
- Follow up on past-due accounts and assist with collections as needed
- Record and track advance payments
- Research and resolve customer A/R discrepancies
- Prepare customer audit statements
- Maintain accurate data entry and verify financial transactions
- Review sales tax and exemption documentation
- Communicate with banks, CPAs, and external partners as necessary
- Coordinate with warehouse regarding financial or inventory issues
- Review and process commission bills and 1099 reporting
- Support Accounts Payable functions as needed
- Process purchase orders and enter bills in the accounting system
- Update inventory reports based on warehouse receipts
Qualifications
- 8+ years of accounting experience required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional communication skills
