Account Manager

Salary : $51k-$90k
Work Hours: 8:30-5:15 – 1h Lunch Break
Location : Morgan Hill, CA *Hybrid Work, 1-3 times a week in office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Build, manage, and nurture customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities.
• Execute sales strategies across the Hard Disk Drive, semiconductor, Microelectronics industries, etc.
• Meet and exceed sales quotas and performance targets consistently.
• Deliver accurate quotations using company templates to customers in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient processing of customer orders, deliveries and transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities using company’s system and applications.
• Regularly report sales activities, customer insights, and progress to the sales manager.
• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their products and needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Regularly report sales activities, forecasts, customer insights, and progress to the sales manager.
• Own and manage assigned customer accounts to ensure retention, contract stability, and long-term partnership development.
• Monitor customer demand forecasts and coordinate internally to ensure supply continuity and inventory alignment.
• Manage contract renewals, pricing adjustments, and commercial terms in accordance with company regulations.
• Monitor customer payment performance and coordinate with finance to ensure timely collection.
• Track account performance metrics including revenue stability, margin maintenance, and customer satisfaction levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in sales or account management
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of customer needs
• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to present and negotiate with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams globally.
