Position: Sales Executive – Japanese Bilingual
Location: Torrance, CA | Hybrid after 3 months' probation period
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: $70-75k/year (DOE) + Bonus | Competitive Benefit Package
Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
A Japanese industrial manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Sales Executive to join its U.S. team in Torrance, CA. This position is responsible for B2B sales of industrial filtration products across the Americas. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and comfortable with travel and client-facing activities.
About the Company
The company specializes in industrial filtration products used in Electronics, Fine chemicals, Chemicals, Food & beverage, General industrial applications.
Products include filter cartridges and filtration system equipment imported from Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle B2B sales to U.S. clients
- Sell company and partner products imported from Japan
- Meet with customers and distributors regularly
- Train distributors and accompany them on client visits (factories, R&D sites, etc.)
- Develop new distributors through cold calling and outreach
- Research new customers and expand market presence through distributor networks
- Conduct market research through trade shows, online research, and industry publications
- Provide translation/interpretation support as needed
- Participate in weekly office meetings
- Submit weekly sales forecasts and activity reports
- Prepare annual sales targets and budgets
- Travel across the Americas (including trade shows and customer visits)
Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent English Communication Skill (Writing and Speaking)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
- No restrictions on travel throughout the Americas
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Basic Japanese language skills
- Experience selling industrial consumables (especially to inkjet ink manufacturers)
- Experience in filtration products (air filters acceptable)
- Knowledge of trade/import-export operations
- Experience with industrial production equipment (valves, pumps, dispersers, etc.)
- Interest in expanding sales in the wine industry
