About the Role

An innovative medical technology company advancing powered prosthetic solutions is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the North Central region.


This is a field-based role for a sales professional with strong relationships in the Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P) space. The ideal candidate brings consultative selling skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to expand market presence in a growth-stage environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within O&P clinics, distributors, and partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key O&P stakeholders
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Expand existing accounts while developing new clinic partnerships
  • Monitor regional trends and customer needs
  • Provide feedback to leadership and product teams to support strategic decision-making
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance and customer engagement
  • Represent the organization at trade shows and regional events
  • Support overall customer journey and brand visibility efforts


Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7 years of B2B sales experience (medical device or O&P strongly preferred)
  • Established relationships within the O&P profession
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts independently
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region (~70%)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools


Preferred

  • Experience selling O&P technology solutions
  • Background in startup or high-growth medical device environments
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
