Japanese manufacturer is seeking a Director / Sr. Director of Finance and Accounting who will join an expanding organization. The ideal candidate must have Five (5) to ten (10) years with experience in mid to senior level finance or accounting position with bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

 

Exempt position

Location: South New Jersey

9:00-5:30, M-F

$120K-170K plus full benefits package

Responsibilities:

  • Generating and reporting to HQ the financial statement. The preparation of Board Meeting Materials. Reporting on the financial well being on a monthly basis Secondary Approval of Disbursements Use of Cost Accounting to generate cost method. Works with the President using finance information to sustain and improve on the financial health and future. 
  • Directing and coordinating financial planning and budget management functions.
  • Works to create Financial Strategy with the President. Recommending benchmarks and product unit cost for measuring the financial and operating performance.
  • Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against the budget.
  • Secondary approval on all expenditure requests and disbursements.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Finance & Accounting departments.
  • Managing the preparation of financial reports.
  • Managing the preparation of financial outlooks and forecasts.
  • Preparing financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting.
  • Working with department managers to develop business plans.
  • Serving on planning and policy making committees.
  • Serving a primary government liaison relative to financial issues.
  • Recruiting, training, supervising and evaluating department staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience. Five (5) to ten (10) years with experience in mid to senior level finance or accounting position. 
  • Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of finance, accounting, taxation, budgeting and cost control.
