Compensation: $25/hour (Non-Exempt)

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch at 12:00 PM)

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and related machining equipment to manufacture precision components based on work orders and technical drawings. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Training will be provided by an experienced senior machinist. Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential due to varying job requirements and collaborative workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC, EDM, milling, lathe, grinder, and band saw machines
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously as needed
  • Operate 30-ton crane
  • Interpret work orders, routings, blueprints, process drawings, and layout sheets
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, etc.)
  • Maintain tolerances up to ±0.0005”
  • Grind tools as required for special applications
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Complete accurate labor and time documentation
  • Support additional production duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to perform technical calculations
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating Fanuc, Haas, and CNC EDM machines
  • Prior experience in mold manufacturing environments
