Established manufacturer of plastic compounds serving diverse industrial customers across North America.


Position Summary

Responsible for driving sales of plastic compounds within an assigned territory. Develop new business, manage existing accounts, analyze market trends, and support strategic growth initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to align sales forecasts with production planning and product development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage territory sales; develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new customers, markets, and applications (including PVC compounds).
  • Conduct on-site customer visits; present product samples, data sheets, and technical information.
  • Prepare pricing quotes, credit terms, sales forecasts, and expense reports.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and marketing analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Forecast business volume to improve planning and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production and scheduling to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Distribute promotional materials and support product launches and innovations.
  • Attend monthly and quarterly on-site sales meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in plastics, polymer, or related industrial materials sales.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Preferred:

  • Experience selling PVC compounds or related products.
  • Prior experience forecasting and supporting production planning.

Other Details

  • Reports to: Head of Sales
  • Supervises: Regional Sales Managers
  • Remote (due to travel) based role with frequent travel within assigned territory (nationwide).
  • Occasional plant exposure
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
