Japanese Bilingual Accounting Associate

Remote/Hybrid work may be considered for qualified candidates residing in Florida.


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll, and client communication functions.

This role requires professional-level Japanese and English language skills in order to effectively support clients through email and phone communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting write-ups
  • Prepare tax returns and process payroll
  • Troubleshoot banking-related issues
  • Provide light translation support as needed
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Follow up with customers to ensure inquiries are resolved within agreed timeframes
  • Answer phone calls for assigned accounts and respond to moderately complex client inquiries
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards

Required Qualifications

  • Professional-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (verbal and written)
  • (Required to support Japanese-speaking clients via email and telephone)
  • Experience with bookkeeping, tax, or payroll processes
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA credentials
  • Experience in an accounting firm or client-service environment
