Logistics Manager — Japanese Company
Location: Cranbury, NJ (3-5 days/week), Midtown, Manhattan(1-2 days/week)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM plus occasional overtime work
Salary: $90–$130K (DOE)
Summary
The Manager, Logistics Operations will lead end-to-end logistics and fulfillment strategy across North America. This role oversees warehouse and 3PL operations supporting retail and e-commerce channels while building a scalable, cost-effective logistics network aligned with long-term growth.
This position balances strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, ensuring inventory integrity, reliable fulfillment, and continuous process improvement. The role partners closely with cross-functional leadership to support growth planning, system enhancements, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Fulfillment Leadership
- Own inbound, outbound, e-commerce fulfillment, and returns operations
- Establish and maintain operating standards across distribution locations
- Ensure scalable execution to support growth and peak demand
Inventory & Inbound Management
- Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, reconciliations, and controls
- Drive ASN compliance, inbound visibility, and vendor performance
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure inventory availability for launches and promotions
Transportation & 3PL Management
- Oversee shipment tracking, carrier performance, and delivery reliability
- Lead 3PL strategy including partner selection, contract negotiation, KPI management, and performance reviews
- Drive continuous improvement in service levels and cost efficiency
Strategy & Financial Oversight
- Develop and execute a multi-year logistics roadmap
- Own logistics budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Lead system, automation, and process improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Finance, IT, Merchandising, and E-Commerce teams
- Provide data-driven insights and performance reporting to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 10–12+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain experience, including senior leadership
- Experience managing multi-site 3PL networks and multi-channel fulfillment
- Strong expertise in inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and leadership skills
