Position Overview

A global logistics organization with deep roots in international freight forwarding and supply chain services is seeking a Mover Leader to oversee and grow its moving services business. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day branch operations while driving service quality, operational efficiency, and business growth.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the moving industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage both people and processes in a customer-focused environment. Japanese language ability is preferred due to coordination with global teams and headquarters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the moving business, including field operations, customer service, administration, HR coordination, and sales support
  • Manage daily branch activities to ensure high service quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and potential sales opportunities
  • Develop operational plans, forecasts, and financial objectives aligned with business goals
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure branch targets and KPIs are met
  • Prepare, manage, and control branch budgets; allocate resources appropriately
  • Lead, train, and develop branch staff through coaching, performance feedback, and motivation
  • Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement
  • Share best practices, market intelligence, and operational insights with other branches and headquarters
  • Address customer and employee issues promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Build relationships within the local business community to strengthen brand presence and reputation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience in a moving company or relocation services environment strongly preferred
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and day-to-day operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and operational reporting
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience resolving service issues
  • English and Japanese language ability
  • Familiarity with logistics, transportation, or international operations is a plus
