Position Overview

This onsite Production Supervisor role keeps daily manufacturing operations running smoothly—balancing floor leadership, planning, and documentation. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping production on track, supporting the team, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Japanese bilingual ability is required to support communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain steady production flow and reduce machine downtime through daily planning
• Check staffing, materials, tooling, and chemicals at the start of shift to prevent delays
• Submit maintenance requests proactively to avoid breakdowns
• Communicate daily plans with maintenance and production support teams
• Lead and motivate associates; assign work based on strengths and training needs
• Manage staffing coverage and ensure cross-training is completed as needed
• Ensure daily production and quality paperwork is accurate and completed by end of shift
• Complete shift handoffs and document issues, changeovers, and scrap concerns
• Monitor quality checks and partner with operators/inspectors to keep scrap low
• Update communication boards and track key production metrics
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas and reinforce safety expectations
• Oversee chemical staging/changes and communicate needs to the next shift

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Japanese-English bilingual required (spoken and written)
• Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced production floor setting
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
