Role: Technical Sales & Service Engineer (Japanese bilingual Preferred)

Location: Norcross, GA

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year

Position Overview

This role blends hands-on technical work with customer-facing sales responsibilities. You’ll support customers by understanding their equipment needs, proposing appropriate machine specifications, and providing on-site commissioning and basic maintenance. Because products are fully made-to-order, this position suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical discussions, and working closely with customers from specification to delivery.

Training will be conducted at headquarters for a minimum of one month, so an interest in Japan and comfort with hands-on, physical work is important.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell custom-built electrical and mechanical equipment
• Conduct on-site test runs, setup, and basic maintenance
• Understand customer requirements and estimate suitable specifications (strength, temperature, etc.)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Guide customers through solutions via phone, email, or chat
• Escalate complex issues to internal teams in Japan and Vietnam
• Maintain accurate issue logs, reports, and technical documentation
• Manage multiple open issues and follow up to ensure full resolution
• Build positive, long-term relationships with clients
• Travel for business as needed

Qualifications

Must Have

• 1–2+ years of experience in a technical support, field service, or technical sales environment
• Ability to support sales of electrical/mechanical products
• Comfortable performing on-site commissioning and basic maintenance

Preferred

• Education or hands-on background in electrical or mechanical systems
• Strong technical aptitude (hobby-level experience such as working on cars is welcome)
• Comfortable with physical work during training (inspection, assembly support)
• Japanese language skills and willingness to train at headquarters for at least one month
