Job Title: Project Engineer

Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000
Job Purpose and Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for managing water treatment equipment projects from contract award through commissioning at client sites. This role requires extensive coordination and communication with internal project teams, clients, and contractors. The Project Engineer is expected to act professionally, take ownership of assigned projects, and contribute directly to the overall success of the team.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design development of water treatment systems, including process engineering, P&ID drawings, plant layouts, and skid assembly drawings.
- Prepare equipment specifications and design documentation for client review, skid fabrication, and system operation.
- Interpret General Arrangement (GA) drawings and provide direction to subcontractors at construction sites.
- Travel up to 50% to support project execution, site coordination, and commissioning activities.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with water treatment systems
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to safely and effectively perform the following:
- Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and industrial equipment
- Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods
- Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force
- Occasionally working in temperatures above 100°F for periods exceeding one hour
