Job Title: Sales representative – Japanese Bilingual

Pay Range: $20-25/hour (DOE)

Location: Torrance, CA

Summary:

Oversee daily operations and sales activities to improve departmental efficiency and service quality. Responsible for driving business growth, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company and government requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise sales strategies and operational tasks to meet business goals.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships; respond to inquiries and follow up on leads.
  • Plan and conduct sales visits, prepare quotations, and close business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Support marketing initiatives and lead generation.
  • Prepare reports, sales summaries, and meeting notes.
  • Ensure timely collections and accurate invoicing.

Logistics & Compliance:

  • Understand and advise on logistics processes, regulations, and restrictions.
  • Familiarity with HTS codes, trade compliance, transport modes, and documentation (e.g., POA, LOI).
  • Recommend cost-effective shipping and handling solutions.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with global sales teams via virtual meetings.
  • Support RFQs, RFPs, and large project bids.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Travel locally and occasionally nationally or globally.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience in operations or sales.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver’s license.
