Project Manager – Japanese Bilingual
Position Summary
Project Manager for the U.S. Retail Media Business, serving as a bridge between the Japan-based product team and U.S. partners. This role focuses on managing partner-led PoC projects and supporting the full-scale rollout of the business in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Collaboration (40%)
Manage relationships with U.S. partner companies, plan and execute PoC projects, gather customer needs, and support negotiations on collaboration terms.
Coordination with Japan Product Team (30%)
Communicate U.S. market requirements to the Japan-based development team, localize product specifications, align development timelines, and facilitate regular progress meetings.
PoC Management & Analysis (20%)
Oversee PoC project execution, analyze performance data, prepare reports and client presentations, and propose improvements for the next phase.
Business Operations Support (10%)
Support local operations, monitor regulations and competitors, and prepare for future collaboration with a U.S.-based sales team.
Required Qualifications
- Project management experience, preferably in global or cross-border projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Partnerships / alliances
- Bridging business and technology
- SaaS or platform businesses
- Retail Tech or AdTech industries
- Business-level bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering or business preferred)
- Valid U.S. work authorization (OPT, H-1B, Green Card, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience living or working in Texas
- Knowledge of the retail media industry
- Basic technical understanding (e.g., Wi-Fi networks, digital signage, Android)

- Able to manage multiple stakeholders across time zones
- Self-driven, organized, and adaptable in a startup-like environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and eager to learn new technologies and industry trends
Work Conditions
- Location: Remote; frequent business trips to Dallas, Texas
- Salary: Around $100,000
- Work Style: Primarily remote; travel to partner sites and stores required
- Travel: Japan 1–2 times/year; domestic U.S. travel several times per month (future)
