Position Overview


This role supports daily operations at a logistics office, with a primary focus on import operations, administrative support, and customer service. The position requires native-level Japanese and business-level English, and involves frequent communication with clients, overseas agents, and internal teams. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in logistics, operations, or office administration, including those without prior industry experience.


Job Responsibilities


  • Handle import-related operational tasks (approx. 50%)
  • Perform administrative duties, including basic accounting-related support (approx. 30%)
  • Provide customer service support via email and phone (approx. 20%)
  • Communicate in Japanese and English with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams
  • Support small parcel operations, including customer inquiries and issue resolution
  • Assist moving services, including quotations, packing coordination, and customer support
  • Support air export operations related to small parcels
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, RFQs, and RFIs
  • Manage customer accounts and support relationship retention and growth
  • Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Track budgets, revenue targets, and operational details
  • Resolve issues using problem-solving skills and follow through to completion

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese required
  • Business-level English required
  • Basic PC skills (email, internal systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • No prior logistics or industry experience required
