Inside Sales Representative – Lexington, KY

Salary Range: $45k-$55k

Workstyle: Full time onsite

Requirements & Preferences

  • 1+ year of experience in inside sales, customer service, or related role
  • Business-level English; Japanese language ability preferred (conversational or higher)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Customer Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 5–10 assigned customers (in coordination with outside sales staff)
  • Research new projects and propose suitable products
  • Pursue new business opportunities through market trend analysis and customer development
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations; follow up to ensure satisfaction and capture orders

Quotations

  • Communicate with suppliers, including group companies in Japan, Thailand, and Canada, to obtain accurate pricing and delivery schedules

Internal Operations

  • Collaborate with outside sales and accounting to ensure accurate transaction recording
  • Manage customer order database and maintain updated sales forecasts
  • Process customer purchase orders and issue shipping instructions
  • Facilitate clear communication between customers and suppliers
  • Monitor shipping and product delivery status, responding promptly to issues

Packing and Shipping

  • Assist with packing and shipping operations as needed
  • Prepare customer order lists, pack and label shipments, and arrange delivery via carrier or direct sales staff

Inventory and Logistics

  • Receive incoming products, verifying quality and quantity
  • Track back orders and incoming shipments
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts and prepare stock reports

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, which may include adjustments to duties or reporting lines based on company needs
