Overview

A manufacturing company in Alabama is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer who can contribute immediately as a key technical member of the team. The company designs, builds, and sells automated welding systems, and also provides factory consumables (MRO products).

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical engineering related to production equipment and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve automated welding machines and related equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in production systems
• Support installation, testing, and maintenance of machinery and control systems
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure equipment performance
• Work closely with Japanese engineers and local staff for technical coordination
• Prepare technical documentation and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in industrial automation, machinery design, or control systems
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and control circuits preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on technical ability
• Immediate contributor with minimal training required
• Japanese language ability is a plus but not required
