Shipper Receiver

Position title: Shipper/Receiver

Working hours: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM / 37.5H/week

Location:  Elk Grove Village IL 

Salary: $18-$19/hour (DOE)

A Japanese precision manufacturing company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Shipper/Receiver position.

Position Summary:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for handling packing, shipping, receiving, and related tasks to ensure timely processing of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities

Packing After Inspection

• Receive inspected parts and pack according to standards
• Report any defects found during packing to group leader or QC

Shipping Preparation

• Receive shipping orders and instructions from Sales
• Pick items from stock, assemble cartons, and stage materials for shipping
• Label cartons and operate shrink wrap or banding machines
• Verify item counts and prepare bills of lading

Truck Loading

• Verify orders and load materials onto trucks
• Operate hand or powered material handling equipment
• Obtain driver signatures and monitor shipping supply inventory

Receiving Deliveries

• Unload materials from trucks
• Verify contents against bills of lading and report discrepancies
• Move and store items in designated areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0–1 years of experience in any of the following: packing, shipping, receiving, material handling, or forklift operation
• Ability to do basic math and lift/move items up to 50 lbs
• Equivalent training or experience will also be considered
