Basic Job Functions
· Primary commercial contact for your assigned customer accounts.
· Manages commercial issues with current business as well as developing new business at assigned customer accounts
· Manages response to customer's RFQ including processing RFQ, quote approval, submission, negotiation through award or approval.
· Provide leadership to the program team as the voice of customer.
· Builds relationships with customer and plants.
· Maintains consistency with customer to build trust.
Specific Job Functions
Responsible for the customer RFQ / quote process.
1 Receives and processes customer RFQ.
2 Upload RFQ & Quote to NA Sales folder to reference for future quotes.
3 Issue RFQ to plants to obtain cost and feasibility
4 Receive and prepare quotation for approval
4 Submit quotations for mass production parts, new model parts, service parts;
5 Negotiate pricing by understanding and customer expectations.
6 Achieve approval of quotation.
· Responsible to negotiate with customers on all commercial related issues such as design changes, cost reduction requests, annual volume, inflation, and new business. Creates strategy and uses leverage in negotiations.
· Obtains customer PO's, confirms pricing and quote details, and processes PO's to plants
· Manage open issue list externally with customer, and internally with the company.
· Manage all customer requests for information including responding to requests for sustainability, diversity, supply chain etc.
· Communicates customer requests to program team and the plants.
· Review customer portal frequently for information and requests.
· Track price history by customer, program, and part number.
· Monitor customer forecasted annual volume and actual annual volume as well as NA market trends
Support strategic plan with information, strategy, and execution.
Qualification
- BA or BS Engineering
Experience:
- 3 years of sales experience with Ford, GM, or Stellantis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Ford and GM accounts with a combined annual value of approximately $500M.
- Engineering experience a plus but not required
Language:
- Japanese Language a plus but not required
Training:
- Negotiation, Cost Analysis, Plex, customer process and portal
