Japanese Bilingual Administrative Coordinator (Part-Time)

Location: Spartanburg, SC

Employment Type: Part-Time, Non- Exempt (Temp to perm)

Pay Rate: $19.00- $22.00(DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrative Coordinator to support day-to-day office operations in our Spartanburg, SC office. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient office administration while providing cross-functional support in accounting, human resources, facilities, IT coordination, and communication with our parent companies in Japan. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Japanese and English, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front office and reception activities, including phone calls, mail, and visitor coordination
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including document preparation and correspondence in English
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, arrange conference calls, and organize appointments
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place timely, cost-effective orders
  • Coordinate facilities and office equipment maintenance
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and courier deliveries
  • Support accounting and bookkeeping tasks in coordination with management and a third-party accounting firm
  • Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, including support for expatriate employees from Japan
  • Support IT-related administrative coordination
  • Respond to requests and reporting needs from parent companies in Japan
  • Assist with special projects and project-based administrative work as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and workplace harmony
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable with a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform general office duties, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting light to moderate office materials as needed
