Restaurant Manager – Japanese Bilingual

About the Company

Our client is a rapidly growing Japanese restaurant group specializing in authentic sushi and high-quality Japanese cuisine. They are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager who is bilingual in Japanese and English to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company standards.
• Manage and train staff (servers, kitchen staff, sushi chefs), ensuring high levels of performance and teamwork.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with executive management on budget planning, cost control, and business strategies.
• Prepare operational and financial reports as required.
• Support marketing initiatives and community engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager, preferably in a Japanese or Asian dining environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills in both Japanese and English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of sushi/Japanese cuisine and restaurant operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, reporting).

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $60K – $80K (based on experience and skills).
