Purchasing / Warehouse Manager

Location: LaGrange, GA

Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually

Hours: 8:00-4:30

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site

Japanese language ability and familiarity with Japanese business practices are preferred.

Position Summary

This position manages daily warehouse and purchasing activities, ensuring accurate inventory, timely material procurement, and efficient production support. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support warehouse supervisors and staff.
  • Develop work schedules, monitor productivity, and maintain shortage reports.
  • Organize inventory and prepare materials for production in advance.
  • Research suppliers, negotiate pricing, and purchase materials, supplies, and components.
  • Manage inventory control and reconcile month-end inventory valuations.
  • Maintain purchasing and inventory records and prepare reports.
  • Address personnel issues and coordinate with management and HR.
  • Ensure employee training is documented and safety policies are followed.
  • Promote workplace safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and other departments.
  • Support general factory operations, 5S activities, and quality assurance as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise employees and manage daily operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and reports.

Preferred:

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control.
  • Warehouse operations or team management experience.
  • Japanese language ability for workplace communication.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business practices and manufacturing work environments.
