Position: Senior MIS Specialist
Location: Torrance, CA | 100% On-site
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000/year (DOE)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior MIS Specialist to manage and support the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, security, and business applications.
This is a hands-on senior-level IT position responsible for maintaining servers, networks, cloud environments, Microsoft systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support. The position will also lead IT projects, work with technology vendors, and provide technical guidance to other IT staff.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Administer Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and capacity.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting.
Cybersecurity & Business Continuity
- Maintain endpoint security, firewalls, email security, and access controls.
- Monitor security risks and vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Assist with security reviews, compliance, and audits.
Technical Support & Leadership
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex IT issues.
- Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Develop technical documentation and support procedures.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other IT staff.
IT Projects & Business Systems
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and system implementation projects.
- Support business applications including Sage 500 ERP, Salesforce, and financial systems.
- Work with department managers to identify technology needs and solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, consultants, and service providers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise server and network environments.
- Experience leading IT projects and/or mentoring technical staff.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
