Sales & Logistics Coordinator

A food-related trading company is seeking a Sales & Logistics Coordinator to support order processing, customer service, shipping coordination, and inventory-related operations.

Based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain sales orders, invoices, customer records, and related data
  • Provide professional customer service and respond to questions regarding products, benefits, and procedures
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to support timely payment collection
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipping with freight forwarders, customs brokers, customers, and warehouse staff
  • Obtain freight quotes and manage shipping schedules
  • Monitor active purchase orders and work with the sales team to ensure timely completion
  • Report inventory shortages, shipping delays, and service issues to the appropriate account manager
  • Coordinate required export inspections with government agencies
  • Participate in inventory counts, which may occasionally take place on weekends
  • Attend company events or functions outside regular business hours as needed
  • Perform other administrative and logistics-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant logistics experience
  • Business-level English in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
  • Basic Spanish required; business-level Spanish preferred
  • Conversational Japanese preferred
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong administrative and data-entry skills
  • Basic mathematical skills, including discounts, markups, measurements, and inventory calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and workloads
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations preferred
  • Knowledge of Japanese food products and sake preferred

Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Office noise levels may range from normal to loud
  • Availability to work occasional weekends or attend events outside regular business hours
