  • Research and recommend appropriate travel options based on client preferences, company travel policies, schedules, and budgets.
  • Create, modify, cancel, and manage travel reservations using a Global Distribution System.
  • Review airfares, fare rules, ticketing requirements, penalties, and travel restrictions.
  • Process ticket exchanges, reissues, refunds, and itinerary changes as needed.
  • Provide timely assistance with schedule changes, cancellations, delays, and other travel-related issues.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of preferred airlines, hotels, rental car companies, commission structures, and vendor programs.
  • Maximize company revenue while providing accurate, responsive, and professional customer service.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client profiles, reservation records, and travel documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal team members, vendors, and travel partners to resolve customer requests and issues.
  • Manage multiple reservations and client requests in a consistently busy, year-round work environment.
  • Perform duties independently while reporting to the Senior Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience in the travel industry is required.
  • Hands-on experience using a GDS is required.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive in a fully remote environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Japanese corporate clients.
  • Experience working for a travel agency or travel management company.
  • Experience handling complex domestic and international business travel itineraries.
