Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Japanese-English Bilingual Program Manager to support startup acceleration and innovation programs. This role will work closely with various stakeholders in both the U.S. and Japan to ensure successful program implementation, operational excellence, and participant engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation & Operations

  • Develop and execute implementation strategies for startup acceleration programs.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to establish annual goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Manage end-to-end program operations while ensuring compliance with timelines and program requirements.
  • Monitor program progress and make strategic adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Analyze program performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and greater impact.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communications among startups, corporate partners, government organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Support program logistics, scheduling, and operational planning.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with program participants and partners.
  • Facilitate effective communication across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional work experience.
  • Experience working with Japanese companies, government agencies, or international business environments is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expert level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) required.
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and supporting emerging companies.

Schedule & Availability

  • Daily on-site attendance required at the Cambridge, MA office.
  • During intensive program periods, candidates must be available for full on-site support.
  • Due to collaboration with partners in Japan, the role will regularly require flexibility outside standard business hours, including early mornings and/or late evenings several times per week.
