We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support manufacturing equipment by designing, programming, troubleshooting, and improving industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming and maintaining Mitsubishi PLC-based control systems in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Program, modify, and troubleshoot Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs.
Support production equipment by diagnosing electrical and control system issues.
Develop and improve PLC programs to increase machine reliability and productivity.
Commission new automation equipment and support equipment upgrades.
Work with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Document PLC programs, electrical changes, and system modifications.
Support preventive maintenance activities related to automation systems.
Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
Ensure equipment complies with company and safety standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of industrial controls or automation engineering experience.
Direct experience programming Mitsubishi PLCs.
Japanese language skills or familiarity with Japanese business culture is preferred.
