We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to lead and support environmental, health, and safety initiatives in a fast-paced technical environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits and risk assessments, and promoting a strong culture of workplace safety across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, experience in high-risk operational environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and client sites.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and safety management software
  • Ability to travel as needed, including occasional weekend support
  • Ability to perform physical site inspections
  • Ability to lift or move up to 100+ pounds using equipment such as dollies
  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction, consulting, or other high-risk environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or other advanced EHS certifications
  • Experience with ISO 45001 or similar safety management systems

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and customer-specific safety requirements
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Identify risks and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
  • Design and deliver employee safety training programs
  • Track safety metrics, training completion, and incident trends
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents
  • Prepare reports for management, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation
  • Collaborate with leadership, employees, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety culture
  • Promote employee engagement and proactive safety awareness
  • May be assigned other duties and projects by management as needed
