Position: Assistant Project Manager – New Model Launch (Automotive)
Position Overview
Due to business expansion, we are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project management activities related to new model launches for automotive OEM programs.
This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities to ensure successful production preparation and product launch, including development, quality, supply chain coordination, and delivery system setup.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project timelines and milestones for new automotive OEM product launches
Coordinate production preparation activities from development to mass production
Serve as a primary point of contact with OEM customers
Oversee supply chain coordination with internal teams and external suppliers
Support budget management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with internal departments including engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics
Monitor project progress and ensure all deliverables meet customer and internal requirements
Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules
Support establishment of delivery systems and production processes for new vehicle programs
Qualifications
Experience in project management for automotive parts related to new vehicle programs
Hands-on experience in production preparation for new product launches
Understanding of the full product lifecycle including:
Product development
Quality management
Production planning
Delivery system setup
Experience working with automotive OEM customers
Strong coordination and communication skills across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for an automotive parts manufacturer
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, or automotive project management processes
Experience managing supplier coordination and supply chain operations
Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and cost control
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $91,000 – $127,000 annually
