Tax Manager / Senior Tax Associate (CPA Firm)

💰 Compensation: Up to $180,000 (depending on experience) + Performance Bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing Tax Manager or Senior Tax Associate to join our growing CPA practice supporting U.S. and Japan–U.S. cross-border clients.

This role offers the opportunity to work with international businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and multinational organizations, providing both tax compliance and strategic advisory services.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented tax professional with strong technical expertise and client management skills, who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance for corporate and individual clients
  • Support international and cross-border tax matters, particularly Japan–U.S. taxation
  • Review tax returns, financial statements, and supporting workpapers prepared by staff
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client engagements and build long-term relationships
  • Coordinate with internal tax professionals and external advisors to deliver high-quality service
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to advisory projects
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, quality standards, and internal controls
  • Mentor and support junior staff members as needed

Qualifications

  • CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing)
  • 5–10+ years of tax experience, ideally within a public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and individual taxation
  • Experience with international or cross-border tax matters is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities independently
  • Japanese language proficiency required
