Title: Export Promotion Assistant (#2)

(Public Affairs Department / Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and other industries Group)

Wage: $24.5/hour

Work Hours: 9:00-17:00 (Lunch12:00-13:00)

Work Style: Office 3-5 days at office, 0-2 days WFH

Location: New York, NY

3. Job Responsibilities

Assist with various activities related to export promotion support for food, agriculture, fisheries products, and other industries in the U.S.

Support trade consultation services and event-related activities, including coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders.

Arrange appointments and attend meetings (including virtual meetings).

Assist with business research related to food, agriculture, fisheries, and related industries in the U.S. (e.g., marketing research, distribution channels, regulations, and compiling lists of relevant companies).

Collect, organize, and summarize information on Japanese food, agriculture, and fisheries products.

Provide assistant support for export promotion activities in other industries (e.g., life sciences).

Perform general administrative tasks. 

4. Qualifications / Requirements

Strong Japanese writing skills, with the ability to read, conduct interviews, and handle phone communication in English.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Excel skills must include calculations and chart creation.

A scientific or technical background is not required.

Willingness to travel domestically within the U.S. (primarily nearby cities on the East Coast).

Strong interest in food-related industries (food products, beverages, and food service industries preferred).
