Position Summary

The Customer Service Coordinator II manages air and ocean import or export shipments, ensuring accurate processing, timely delivery, and high-quality customer service. This role supports assigned customer accounts within a high-volume international logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
  • Manage air and ocean import or export shipments from booking through delivery
  • Provide proactive shipment status updates and communicate delays or exceptions
  • Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, customers, and domestic vendors
  • Prepare quotes, obtain vendor rates, and support sales activities as needed
  • Ensure account-specific SOPs are maintained, followed, and audited
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Troubleshoot service issues, resolve discrepancies, and manage escalations
  • Review exception reports and implement corrective actions
  • Provide backup support within assigned department
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of experience in air and ocean import or export operations
  • Working knowledge of import/export regulations and domestic transportation
  • Strong customer service experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Japanese and English language proficiency (expert level) if assigned to Japanese accounts
