【Position】

Customer Support Representative

【Summary】

A Japanese trading company specializing in cosmetic ingredients is looking for a Customer Support Representative. This position is responsible for handling end-to-end customer service operations, including order processing, inventory coordination, and communication with clients and suppliers both domestically and internationally.

【Essential Duties】

– Receive and process purchase orders from cosmetic manufacturing clients

– Check inventory availability and issue shipping instructions to the warehouse 

– Create and send invoices to the warehouse/logistics company

– Place purchase orders with suppliers 

– Communicate with clients to coordinate delivery schedules and manage lead times

– Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and invoices using internal systems (e.g., QuickBooks)

– Serve as a liaison between sales, logistics, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations

– Handle and resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies

– Support ad-hoc tasks as required in a small, agile team environment

【Working Hours, Working style】

9:00-17:00

【Working Location】

Westbury, NY

commute to office 5 days/week

【Salary, Benefit】

$60,000-70,000

【Qualifications】

– Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (both written and spoken)

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

– Prior experience in customer support, logistics, or supply chain (especially in trading or manufacturing industries)

– Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

– Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting/order management systems preferred

– Experience working with logistics companies is a plus
