District Manager(Territory Sales)-JAPANESE BILINGUAL
Summary
This position is responsible for full sales and account management within an assigned territory, with the objective of growing market share through strong customer relationships, new business development, and strategic territory planning.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all sales activities and customer accounts within the assigned territory
Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular face-to-face visits
Develop new business and penetrate new accounts within the territory
Coordinate closely with inside sales, operations, and engineering teams to support customer needs
Manage new project development in collaboration with customer and internal engineering teams
Monitor open orders and ensure timely product delivery
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and activity updates using CRM systems
Conduct product training seminars and participate in trade shows as needed
Provide timely follow-up on leads and customer inquiries to maximize conversion
Recommend new market opportunities and product ideas to management
Participate in regional meetings, training sessions, and joint customer visits
Handle RMA processes to ensure timely and proper resolution
Mentor new team members and support regional sales initiatives
Travel regularly within the territory and meet physical requirements of the role
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Engineering background preferred; equivalent experience considered)
1+ years of sales experience in industrial products such as motion control, bearings, automation, or related fields (Entry level is welcom)
Japanese bilingual – business level fluency is required
Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand drawings and technical documentation
Experience managing customer accounts and complex sales projects
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); CRM experience preferred
Ability to travel frequently and handle physical aspects of the role (sample cases, driving, flying)
